As the world’s first Specialized Concept Store, we are able to offer everything from introductory road and mountain bikes all the way through to pro level race machines.

In addition to the full line of Specialized products we also offer a large selection of bikes from Cervelo, Ibis, Surly, and Co-Motion tandems.

NorCal Bike Sport started out as Dave's Bike Sport back in 1985 when the original owner, Dave Walters, opened up the shop as a way to provide for the needs of local bicycle racers and triathletes. Dave has been credited for his pivotal role in developing Santa Rosa as a hotbed for competitive cycling. NorCal Bike Sport carries on the tradition today - it was the first store in the nation to become a Specialized Concept Store and is the go to pro road shop in the North Bay Area.

Meet Our Employees

Frank Ammirata STORE MANAGER Frank has been with the company for 3 years. He started as one of the company's buyers, launched the shop's Facebook fan page, and handles outside events as well. Born and raised in Santa Rosa. Rides a Specialized S-Works Roubaix road bike and a Santa Cruz Butcher mountain bike.

Steve Kaiser MECHANIC I started working on bikes at my Dad's hardware store in 1963 which later became Kaiser's Sports.  In 1975 I went to work at the Bike Peddler and in 2003 transferred to NorCal Bike Sport.  I was past president of the Santa Rosa Cycling Club and led the effort to put on criterium races in downtown Santa Rosa in the early 1970's.  I raced as a junior but wasn't very good at it.  I did ride the Davis double century twice, the Mt. Lassen double century twice and the Terrible Two twice.  My longest one day ride was 377 miles (24 hours). I've probably fixed around 20,000 flats in my lifetime!

Jeffrey P. Myhren CERTIFIED MASTERS BG FIT TECHNICIAN - Born September 1st, 1978 –Labor Day- to Jeff and Aurora Myhren of Whittier, Ca. - Graduated Sonoma Valley High School 1996 - Winner of the D.A.R. medal for Military Excellence and Patriotism August, 1996 - Began working at Dave’s Bike Sport/Bike Peddler June 1st, 2001 - Absolutely loves frozen orange juice and tall men named Phil - Certified Master Body Geometry Bicycle Fitter May, 2009 - Moved to Rohnert Park’s famous “D” section November 20th, 2010 - Winner of $40.00 on a California Lottery scratcher September 4th, 2010 - Memory like an Elephant - Loves to make sure that your Bicycle fits like a well tailored suit

Fritz Prinz SERVICE MANAGER Fritz started his illustrious career in the Bicycle industry as a rank and file Mechanic way back in 1992 working for Dave's Bike Sport before being laid off during the winter months.  Since that time he has honed his ability by working for a couple of mail order businesses (who shall remain nameless) and bike shops that you probably know as well as a three year stint inside the industry working for Marin Bikes.  Fritz likes cats and dogs, long walks on the beach and reaching low earth orbit on his motorcycle which he affectionately refers to as "The Red Dragon"...   So, after nineteen years in the business he is quite proud to be the world’s second best mechanic right behind Glenn Fant....

Gregory Plumb CUSTOMER SERVICE Originally from England I enjoy long rambling rides on both my road and mountain bikes.

Janae Borba CUSTOMER SERVICE I started to work at NorCal this year and absolutely love it! Born and raised in Sonoma County. I enjoy singing, playing piano, riding my road bike, and extreme sports! Cycling gives me a chance to explore many hidden treasures Sonoma County has to offer! The shop has taught me a lot on bikes, maintaining a healthy life style, and adventure! Im fortunate to work with some of the best people around, look forward to going to work each morning.
